Moravec Science Editing provides substantial editing, proofreading, formatting, and pre-submission advice for research reports, white papers, and peer-review journal and conference papers. Topics include computer science and information technology, electrical and electronics engineering, and some physics. In particular, artificial intelligence, including deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, are topics of expertise.
Kimberly Moravec received her BS degree in in electrical engineering with a minor in mathematics from the University of Colorado, USA, in 1994 and her PhD in information systems from the University of East Anglia, UK, in 2001. In industry, she worked as an electrical engineer at Lockheed Martin Astronautics, USA, and as a researcher in image processing and computer vision at XEROX Research Centre Europe in the UK and France. She has worked in both academic and industrial research environments, and completed a research fellowship at University College London, UK, on multimedia retrieval (2011).
Dr. Moravec began editing in 2011.

When editing a research paper for peer review, in addition to grammar, spelling and punctuation, I make corrections for flow, organization, and technical correctness. I also look at the content to ensure there are no content gaps in the paper (for example, no mention of future work in the conclusion).
I also write covering letters for journal submission and press releases for the EurekAlert! online science news service.
