Jon studied at Magdalene College, Cambridge and the College of Law in York before qualifying as a solicitor in 2001.
Jon was made partner at Prettys in May 2013, having joined in 2012 after ten years spent working in the North West; initially in the corporate teams of leading national and law firms and latterly as head of the business law team at a niche Merseyside practice.
In April 2017 Jon joined the corporate team at Ellisons.
Jon advises private investors, business owners and funders on all aspects of corporate transactions including business and share sales, management buy-outs and private equity investment.
Jon also deals with commercial law matters including joint ventures, shareholders agreements, complex website and mobile app development terms and conditions, and commercial contracts.
He has a particular interest and involvement in the digital and online sectors having acted for a number of fast-growing clients in this area.
