IM Welcomes DoubleMe To The Cluster

Published: April 16, 2020 in

Founded in 2014 as a Volumetric Capture Studio pivoted in 2017 to a Platform based Holographic Platform aiming to bring people even closer together, DoubleMe, today,  have a team of 29 strong with offices across Sunnyvale, USA, London, UK and Seoul, South Korea.

DoubleMe provides a novel 3D capture system, the HoloPortal™ that converts 2D video into dynamic 3D models in real-time for various 3D content markets (Game, 3D Animation, VR/AR/MR, 3D Printing). It captures moving subject motion then generates a fully animated 3D model as well as still subjects such as furniture. The 3D models contain volumetric 3D mesh, movement, and real textures (Skin, Facial Expressions, Clothing), hence we can literally put your DoubleMe into virtual, augmented & mixed reality experiences. DoubleMe currently working on building the Mobile Edge Computing version of HoloPort for smartphone holoportation and beyond.

We can achieve Holoportation with a single camera and a single PC making it very simple for anyone to use from their own home PC or smartphone. Other companies use multiple cameras and multiple servers and numerous engineers to operate the system.  Simplicity, low cost and decent quality image vs more expensive systems is our USP, democratising the holographic (3D) broadcasting and teleconferencing industry.

As one of the winners of 2020 TEAC Competition and collaborating closely with TEAC we are delighted to now also be part of the Innovation Martlesham.  Our focus this year is seeking funding to expand the business.
